understanding my tranny..... Just want to make sure i'm understanding this and if i'm wrong please not too much flamage...

the 2 stands for 2nd gear correct??? When i've been racing i've put it in 2 and just before my redline I toss it into OD. i've recieved some pretty impressive results... My car is nearly all stock I have an LS1 airbox and SLP lid, no cat and off road y and thats it.. .stock LT1 (check my year)from front to back.
