Glad to hear there is another good converter company out there for LS1/2 cars. I`ve had 4 Fbodys and 9 different conv and the Yank conv I have in my 2 Formulas are the best I`ve used for track and street driving.

Also, Humvee, did you have any tuning done to adjust for shiftpoints or anything?
ya it needs to have at least a transmission tune done to it once the converter is in. i put mine in at work and drove it the hour to eastside to get it tuned. also get urself a trans. temp guage and possibly a deep tranny pan. every little thing makes a difference. i was very happy with the tuning that was done on my car.

Awesome. I've got a couple local guys lined up that can tune it up for me once it's all in.

I have had my 4K stall from fuddle for the past 2-3 months. I guess lack of modivation and not seeing the verter box will cause that.
Well, I had a buzz going last friday and stumbled on the verter box (which was still i good shape) So, I said the hell with it. Got everything off and unbolted everything but the Y pipe (stuck on pretty damn good and worked around it) and the tranny lines and top tranny bolts. (could not get to because Y pipe is still on)
Should have everything off and verter put in tomorrow. Got a buddy with LS1EDIT so I will post up soon as I can get it in and tuned..

My Fuddle arrived all the way to Hawaii without the box having a single dimple! I was so fricken happy, and the TC is rocking so far, just need to get some 200shot launches under her belt now.

* I wish my buddies spoiler I bought made it here unscathed! *

Spoke to John from Fuddle today about a Convertor for my truck. Went with a 2800 stall HD truck convertor. I have a S-10 4x4 with an LS1 in it. Can't wait to get it and have it installed next week. Heard nothing but good things about their convertors. Hopefully I don't have any shipping problems though. I'll let you guys know how it goes with this convertor. It's a 9.5 inch convertor but still has a clutch twice the size as a 12" HD convertor. This will work great for the little bit of towing I do and being a daily driver. Thanks

Chris

Well I got mine in. I'm impressed with the way it works. Street tires are a no go at wot though. My only questions (maybe inexperiance with a stall) is that it goes to about 3800-4000 rpm's and just stays there although the speedometer cont. to climb. The car also feels slugish when it takes off. I'm guessing that these are probally normal. I'm sure I'll get uses to it I've only driven it 5 miles so far. This is at 1/2 to 2/3 throttle. It also wants to short shift 1st. Also installed probuilt auto's moded shift kit with one washer as they recomend. I also have not had the computer tuned yet which I will be doing soon by carolina auto masters.

I'm sure tuning can take care of most of that for you. I know that WOT in 1st won't happen much anymore without a smokeshow, but what about from like a 30 punch or so? How's it pull at highway speeds?

I'm just interested because mine is still on the way and I don't have a tracking number for it yet. Your car is pretty much identical to mine except you have 3.23s. Did you put the converter in yourself or pay someone to do it?

I had mine installed by a shop down the road from mine. They wouldn't install the shift kit due to liabilty issues so they pulled it out and I went and picked it up, installed shift kit, then took it back to them. They also installed my cooler while it was on the lift. They weren't to bad they only charged me 250 plus 14.50 for the fluid. It took me longer to put the shift kit in than it did for them to install the trans back in hte car.

The shop that did mine only had to take off the o2 sensor on the passenger side. The exhaust was all left intact. This was with it on a lift. Hope this helps.
