Default hows Vig3200s and cams?

a couple of people told me that vig3200s are more for boltons? how do they perform with a smaller cam like a B1, or T1?

I think the car would be pretty fast with a b1/t1... Throws you right up in the RPM's...especially if you get a new rear gear

no doubt i could see some gain with a 3.73 rear- but i do a lot of highway driving and i dont think i could stand the high rpms. i would like to keep the 3.23s might need a 12 bolt though

Maybe i can answer your question. I had installed the B1 cam back last summer and had the 3200 vigil/3.42 combo for bolt ons and found that the smaller gearing was killing me in 2nd and 3rd gear because my upshifts would fall to far out of my power band (4800rpms). I then installed 3.73s to bring it back up and it worked great, got the upshifts back to 5100-5200rpms and im right in the power on every shift now. It will also net some good 60fts.

If your wanting to stay with the 3200 Vigilante and run a cam i would advise you to change to a 3.73 gear or if you have the money a YTP4400 or YTP4000 will work awsome with that setup.

With 3.73's you'll be fine on the highway.
Lots of people have said the Vig3200 performs AMAZING with the 3.73s...
