Default Trans case size: Th400 vs. 4L80E

Is there a difference in case size between the 4L80E and the TH400? I went to drop an LQ4/4L80E combo into my Jag tonight and it didnt' quite fit... I am pretty sure my only hang up is the oil pan... but I am skeptical of the trans as well. The kit I bought is made for a TH400, but the documentation is old and was written before the 4L80E was out.

Thanks, -Dave

The case is longer and the tail housing is longer, so the mount location needs to be further back.
