Default Transmission woes

We are in the process of installing a LS1 with a 4L60E in a third gen camaro. The car is on jack-stands. Initially when shifted into reverse the wheels move for 30 seconds tops then stop. Forward doesnt seem to work at all. The tranny is full of fluid (slightly over), also the torque converter was taken out of a 2002 corvette...could it possible be the torque converter? or the tranny itself?
Note* we dont know the history on the tranny, it was bought used on LS1tech.

Any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

thanks

Do you have ATAP? Check the line pressure, also TC might not have engaged the front pump...
