I hope you guys help me at this discussion in ASAP please. the car is for my friend it's Firebird 1998 427ci FMS M6. he decide to convert his transmission to A4, so what should we have to do for the transmission to be afford with same engine and 300 shots?? the car for Drag race

frankly we know everything about the Transmission but it's hard to choose the right thing!! transmission, Converter, Flexplate, cooler, trans break, line lock, pan... etc.

please show me the parts with part# from www.SummitRacing.com


The car have done this mods :

-427ci FMS.
-Full suspension.
-Moser 12 bolt 4.10 ratio.

You want a 4l60E to handle a 427 with a 300 shot? Better wake up cause your dreaming. That list of goodies calls for nothing less that a TH400 or a powerglide.

 

I'll loan them the pin to burst the buddle. with a 300 shot you need a TH400, not an A4.

 

Okay, How could i find complete Kit for TH400?? please show me the details with the parts for TH400. Converter size??, Flexplate, cooler, trans break, line lock, pan... etc.
