4200 or 4400 with stock internals??
whats up guys, i've been thinking about what size stall to get in the near future...some friends are running 3500 stalls (stock internal) and they say if they could go bigger, they would...so i wanna get it right the first time and not get something i dont want...right now my mods are mac-midlengths, lid, stock 3.23s, and borla exhaust and i'm thinking about a 4200 or 4400 (tci or yank, still undecided) with a 2.2-2.5 str, my future plans are to get 3.73s, LTs, asp pulley, ls6 intake, and tb...would this be a good choice to go with or what would you guys recommend? also what times could i expect from these mods? the car has ran a best of 13.2 in cold weather and runs consistent 13.5-13.6s in hot/humid weather...any input is appreciated...thanks
i went with the ssf tci 4200....2.2 str....
stock from the maf to the oil pan, mac headers, 3.73 gears, never got to the track for times this summer before i spun a bearing.....i think my oil pump went bad, and i pry had the rev limiter set too high for the stock setup(6400rpms)
i LOVE this converter...ran a 12.5 with the stock tc, shoulda been in the 11s with the new one, although on the street punching it at anything below 40mph would just spin the brand new drs.....still fun as heck though

btw, i drove this car pretty much every day this summer up until the motor blew....i didn't mind the stall at all, although my wife didn't like driving it(at part throttle it makes the car feel heavy)......but i never had it tuned either
