Default Need some convertor help (2002 ST3500?)

I have a friend who is in the market for a convertor for his pewter 2002 a4 Z28. I recommended the yank ST3500, and he is even looking at the ST3800.

What problems are associated with these convertors and these model year cars? I have read of some code people get with the 3500, but what exactly is it, and does it hurt performance.

Any help would be appreciated

Please have your friend read the thread on this board and on LS1.com (Drivetrain Forum) with regard to the ST-series converter in an '01+ car.

Also have a look at the link in my sig.

Lots of info in these places...
