awesome! Thanks for the reply tj! I keep hearing more and more good thigns about these converters.. i'm just going to wait for a GP/sale/or get a used one.. It will be the PT or SS series 4000 for sure! Thanks!

Save your pennies and get the Yank. I'm on my 4th in 2 cars and never had a moment's trouble with any of them.

Naturally Aspirated

Best From SS3600 Aug 24, 2007 -- 3675DA

60' ... 1.698 (My Best ever w/3600)
330 ... 4.872
1/8 ... 7.551
mph ... 91.27
1000 ... 9.903
1/4 ... 11.877
MPH ... 116.59

Best From SS4000 Aug 31,2007 -- 3525 DA
RT ... .190
60' ... 1.558
330 ... N/A
1/8 ... 7.366
MPH ... 93.68
1000 ... 9.713
1/4 ... 11.685
MPH ... 116.53


WOW what a difference in how the truck 60 foots...
I made 7 passes On the SS4000 in one night Every single one had a 1.55x sixty foot. Slowest pass was 11.70@116.1 Fastest is shown above So the converter is very consistant.

Hope this helps you with your decision..

Well we are not on that list but we do average a 96 percent efficency not to bad IMHO

Circle D Specialties would be my first choice.

Torque converter selection is one of the most important components in having the right combination. Pick wisely.

I have never heard of a yank PT4200??? PT4000 and PT4400 and they use to sell a PE4200 but not a PT4000???
