midwest converter question
midwest converter question i just recently bought a midwest 3400, not in the car yet, and i was wondering what about what engine speed i can expect this converter to stall too. i know some converters like vigilante stall a little more than advertised and most others brands are either right on or a little below advertised. it has a free restall which i may use before i put it in b/c i am about to change cams to a comp xer 238/240 .605/.609 112 and comp recommends at least a 3800 for this cam to perform to its best. just wondering how this converter will do.
i believe your stall speed would be anywhere between 3300-3500, cause converter manufacturer's stall claims are as close to accurate as they can be. engine power also affects what your converter stalls to. a cam could theoretically push your stall speed up 100rpm's
