Default Best choice torque converter for this?

Posted in the conversion section also as the car is a hybrid. 99 LS1, 380RWHP & 420 max. torque, weighs 2,750#, heads & mild cam, 460LE, 3.55 -Ford 8.8 rear end. Want to install an after market torque converter. Looking @ a TCI super street fighter 3,000 stall, & I think 2.0. Is this a wise choice based on car power to weight & cam/gearing, or is there a better choice? Stock converter is not creating the start (launch) that is wanted. Thanks

I have a fuddle racing 3500 and couldn't be happier. It hits nice and hard and the drivablity is great since its my DD, with the cost of a couple mpg of course. You can't beat the price and the quality is excellent.

Yank makes GREAT torque converters. Call them and they won't send you in the wrong direction. I love my converter and would not have anything other than another Yank torque conveter.

you will want a 3,500-4,000 converter for that. 3,000 is basically a waste look at my sign, im upgrading to a fuddle 3,800 stall.. If you go with a 3,000 stall you will want more..
