OK. I lost Reverse in my 4L60E. It shifts only if I let off the gas. It does lock-up.
The last time I drove it, I believe I had all the forward gears. It sounds like a bad bearing/Turbo when I spin it up to 4K-up.
The place I talked to today said it sounds like the Sunshell is bad. Does that sound about right? The Tech I talked to today sounded like he knew his ****, but I'm double checking. I know a little about the insides of an Auto, but not like a trans rebuilder. I want to get something like an FLP or other out of state built trans, but I need to get this thing running soon and have to look locally to get it done sooner. It's my D.D.
They quoted about $850 in labor to R+R and the rebuild plus what-ever hard-parts I would need. They said about $1400-1700 roughly. The fact it was already built up by Century helps in the Good parts area, but it failed only after a 1 1/2 so not going back to them. Also Houston is getting slammed soon.
