Cruising my trans temps usually run about 169 on a hot day. Will get into the 180's if ran hard or extended city driving on hot (90's) days. I run a 24000 GVW trans cooler and a 3500 stall.

I like to see mine stay under 200*. I have seen her peak at 210* on those 90 degree days in heavy heavy traffic (until the convertor locked). Depending on the weather, she's often 140-160 cruising on the highway. (Note: these temps are all street driving, no track time at all, TCS 4200 with tranny cooler)

I have a 24K cooler coupled to a 3 1/2 Qt deeper pan, and with a Y3000, my 01 Z28 freeway driving temperature is 125-150F. In town on hot days it will be from 165-180F.

Mine runs pretty cool on the highway. I don't think I've ever seen anything over 200 degree either reported on the autometer gauge or in my datalogs. I'm running the stock cooler configuration (note I have a roadmaster) with my 9.5" converter (around 3000-3200stall), in conjuction w/ a 160* T-stat, and a Neil Racing Converter Cooler Cover.
