Torque managment ??
Would torque management cause my car to backfire when it shifts into 2nd. I hope that this is my problem but not sure. I plan on getting it tuned soon but I want to get my 3:73's in first. Just wanted to know if this is my problem or do I need to look somewhere else.
PS this is not the usual pop that they all make this is much louder and the car kinda jerks when it happens. This started shortly after the trans-go/fuddle install. Only codes are for EGR, air pump removed and rear o2's.

Stalls require changes to torque management and shift points.
The backfire is caused by over-reving, more likely with the stall.
The same thing can happen in a 100% stock car when the fluid level is low. May as well check that while you're at it, getting a good read on transfluid level is tricky.

You're probably getting into the rev limiter just a bit before it shifts. While I was still adjusting the shift points on mine after the converter install it would do nearly the same thing. For a split second right at the 2/3 shift it would fall on it's face and then take off again. I adjusted the shift mph down 1mph more and haven't had it happen since.

both wrong, he is seeing torque management kick in because he has a trans go shift kit. You need to get torque management removed when you install a shift kit. I bet the car falls on its face for a sec during the 1-2 shift than picks up speed..
