I'll believe it when I see it. Not complaining, but today was the first day that I received a truthful answer from anyone at Yank. I ordered my St4000 5 weeks ago, was told 2 weeks max. After the 2 weeks was up I was told each following week that it would ship out that Friday. I was told this last week as well. Call today to get the tracking number and lucky me-she's got mine in her hands right now-must have misplaced it for a few weeks. I'm sure I will love my new Yank converter, I just wish they were a little more honest with me about how long my converter was going to take to build. I would have never ordered it if I would have known it was going to be this long-Vig for me next time, unless the Yank is sitting on the shelf waiting for me to order.

Well Stu, you should be a believer very soon if you only believe what you see.

I have to agree. When I ordered mine around Christmas, I was told ill have it in 3 weeks. Needlessly to say, its still not here. Yanks customer service does suck. I have left several messages and never once did I get a call back. I was told the same thing, "it will be done this week and you will have it next week". If I had 10 bucks for everytime I talked to the woman and she told me this week, it would be paid for. The money I saved on the sale price is gonna pay for my phone bill. The thing that really pisses me off is how fast they were to bill my credit card. They should not have billed me until it was shipped. I was a little shocked when I opened my Jan. statement and saw they had already charged me. I have owned Yanks in the past so im sure I will be happy, they just need to be more honest with us.

I agree with M.R. on this one. The money I saved on the sale is definitly going towards my phone bill.

Yank *is* catching up though. I received my converter (ST4000) from the end-of-November GP about 10 days ago.

Default Yank back-log nearly gone: Same day service just days away!

I spoke with Mike Senia this morning. He told me that they are shipping all back-ordered Super Thrusters, Pro Thrusters, and Ultra Thrusters are all shipping TODAY! Yank was overwhelmed with end of year group purchases and January specials and faced supply challenges from some of their vendors. Parts are now in and they Yank team is working nights and weekends to fill all the remaining orders. By the end of February, there will be an adequate supply of their most popular converters (including ST3500, ST3800, PT4400) on the shelf for same day shipping. As always, custom converters are available at no additional cost. Turnaround time for custom converters should be just a couple of days.

Rejoice, the long wait is over. Good things come to those with patience.

Let me explain how promises get broken. Yank has a supplier of clutches. This supplier promised to send Yank 1000 clutches the first week of January. He promised delivery on a specific date so Yank promised their customers delivery a few days after that. Long story short...the supplier broke his word and didn't deliver the product until a month later. No clutches...no converters. Yank had no way of knowing the supplier was going to screw them. It's tough being in a specialized business when you have only a small number of vendors that make the parts you need. Yank's clutch supplier added insult to injury and that makes the Yank customer service look bad. Broken promises are tough to take...but they were not intentional.

Maybe it wasn't intentional-but honesty is the best policy. All will be forgiven when my new ST4000 pushes me into the 11's w/ bolt ons. Any ideas on how much I will pick up from my previous SY3500, best was 12.20@111.7 1.66 60ft on nittos 3.42's.
I have added Monocoque wheels and ET STREETS, also took about 200 lbs out of the car in addition to the lightweight wheels-last set saved me about 80 lbs over ws6's w/ 275/40's.

Mike agrees. The problem was the supplier kept saying "they'll be shipped in just a few days" and kept failing to do it. Still sucks though.

Can't wait to see some results from the ST4000; it should be an excellent track converter and feel pretty good (for a 4000 stall on the street ).
