Does the converter lock w/stock settings @ WOT?

Does the converter lock w/stock settings @ WOT? I have been told that in stock form, the converter is set to lock at 95mph while going WOT. I've also read that locking a converter at WOT will destroy it.
I'm right around 110mph at 5800 RPM's with 3.73s and 25.7" Nitto's. Definitely doesn't sound like mine is locking up now does it?
