My foward sprag flipped and now free wheels in both directions. I have heard you can install them backwards. I have a new Borg/Warner 29 element sprag ready to go in. My question is that which direction is it supposed to free wheel and when direction is it supposed to grab?? Assuming that you are holding the sun gear facing down in the palm of your left hand and your right hand in on the outer race.

1. Free wheel right grab left
or
2. Free wheel left grab right
