Just wondering if a TH400 tranny would bolt directly into a '98 WS6 or would it require modifications to make it fit and work properly?

I think you need a custom driveshaft (around $350) and probably some other special parts.

No major modifications. Prety much new driveshaft, torque converter, speedo sensor if you want to keep your speedometer. As far as crossmember, you can put 1" worth of spacers on a M6 crossmember, or you can pay around $170 for an aftermarket th400 one. Oh yea, also a custom dip stick, from either Madman or Lokar.

So nothing too major?! As long as it's just a few smaller things it's no big deal. I'll check the stickey too.
