well me and a friend were out testing his 94z28 with the vig3200 stall..anyway i slapped a set of ported MAF ends on there for him just to give him a few more puppies...

ok we go to a straight road, leave from idle and 1st-2nd is fine.. soon as we hit 2nd the car starts to sputter and lock and unlock.. im like wtf??? same puzzled look on his face... so we pull over and check the tranny fuild.. thats fine.. still puzzleddddddd <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0"> anyway on ride back the converter would not lock up any at all!!! Then it clicks in my head that i saw a few posts on here about ported MAF ends causing locking probs.. well what do you know.. we switched his stock ends back... car ran fine!!!! so it had to be the ported ends... i just dont get why that causes locking probs???? freaky!! <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">

 

Yep, that is a fairly commonly known issue. The engine sense less or more (forget which) of a load I believe which direclt affects lockup.
