converter recomendations
i here the clutch material in vigilante converters
is made oh oem paper vs yanks carbon ceramic and kevlar materials. what stall should i install?
I have the following mods:
maf ported ends
k/n fipk filtercharger kit
slp long tube headers no cats
125 shot nitrous works custon nozzle
nitto drags et/12.96 at 107.4 motor

I'm a big fan of the Vig 3200. It performs well, gives a GREAT ET gain, and is not known for codes, lockup problems, etc. I personally watched a '01 Z28 run an 11.99 @ 112 MPH two weeks ago with the Vig 3200. His best prior to that was a 12.8 w/ the stock converter. I'm running it in my car as well, and I know of a LOT of other guys that have had the same success with this converter. This is my 5th Vig converter since '98, and I've never had any problems with any of them. My only problem is wanting more stall after I have the converter in. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

You can't go wrong with a Yank or a Vig converter. As far as the clutch material is concerned, Yank uses Carbon Ceramic and Kevlar. GM uses Carbon Ceramic on all their OEM converters too because it is known to be smooth, strong, and last very long. Kevlar is Kevlar...just the strongest, most aggressive material out there...it's also expensive...but it's the best when you're talking lock-up clutches with a power adder.
