I have a 98/A4 with a weird problem. The colder it gets the harder it is to get the car out of park in the morning. You have to bang it with your fist until it releases so you can put it in gear. Now on a hot day no trouble. So my question is how does the console in my camaro come apart and what do I need to lube when I get it apart?

 

Isn't there a safety switch above your brake pedal? Maybe the button gets stuck in and won't allow the shifter to release.
