Question Restall a Vig3200?

I need some advise about changing my stall. Right now I have a vig3200. I love this stall but I don't think it will work with my goals that I have now. I've only put about 2,500 miles on it and I'm already thinking of restalling it. My goal is 10's all motor/stock bottom. I've done a lot of searching and I know it can be done with the right setup. I'm about to retire my car from daily driver duty and set it up for like a weekend cruiser/dragstrip monster. So a larger stall will not affect my driving.

Lately I've been looking at 4400 stalls like the proven ones from Yank (PT4400) and TCI. What about the larger converters from Precision Industries? Are they any good? I know I want an all motor car and I know I've seen the Yank and TCI perform above all expectations. I just haven't seen any of the large Vigs.

So, here's my question: Should I restall my Vig3200 to a Vig3600 or 4400 (I have the free restall)? Or, should I sale mine and get a TCI or Yank? Or, can Yank or TCI restall mine to their specs?

Thanks

I had a vig 3800 and was not very happy with it. I think the 3200 is a great converter for someone looking to drive it on the street and get good performance but not for a more aggresive setup. Once you get higher in the rpm range it seems they lose too much effciency. Let me put it this way,
Vig 3800=12.2 @ 109 with a 1.7 60' dead hook
Yank SS4000=11.9 @ 113 with a 1.6 60' with tcs on because it hit so hard my drag radials wouldn't hold. I think its capable of a 1.3-1.4 once I have my 12 bolt and drag rims on. The only other change was 3.23s to 3.73s. Weather conditions were very close. I would go with a Yank, obviously I did.

The Vig is great on the street! It drives like stock except for when you kick it. I love it for a street converter and it's a great track converter. I'm just trying to squeeze every 10th out of my car NA and this converter will hold me back some.

The rear end is stock with 3.23's. I'm planning on going with a 9" or 12-bolt with 3.73's. I'm planning on going all out with it still being streetable. Just not a daily driver.

As far as my times go,

stock stall w/ headers, catback, no suspension w/ 17" nittos I ran:

60' 2.02 (no spin)
1/8 8.44
mph ???

with the Vig3200 and every thing the same as above:

60' 1.76 (slight spin)
1/8 8.12
mph 85.9 (i think ?)

With all the talk about Yanks I might have to try theirs. That PT4400 is pretty tempting. So is the SS4000. But I also like the price of the TCI4400.

I'm just going bite the bullet and sale mine and get bigger one. I guess there's only one right way of doing things.

Thanks

Just so you know the SS4000 is also very streetable for a converter that big. The vig 3800 was quite a bit looser. The PT series will not be as streetable as the SS but will perform a little better at the track.
