Anyone ever have a converter bolt fall out??
The reason I ask this is because i've been having a rattling sound from some where under the car and just figured it was the exahust because I had it all tore off while installing my converter a few weeks ago, so I got under there to tighten it up, but everything was tight. So upon further inspection i'm pretty shure there is a converter bolt being knocked around in the bellhousing
What are the chances of my flywheel being cracked?? I drove the car for a little while like this going WOT a few times and one time after going WOT my SES light started flashing. Now it's been on for a shift solenoind (can't remember the actual code) but it workes just fine and it seems to be a common code, but why the flashing?

I had my fuddle 3,800 put in the car 2 weeks ago and had nothing but problems(same as yours except for the flashing ses lite--i know what that means also lol) Well first you need to get yourself some kind of tuning program(you have alot to tune with the new converter) Ok first thing you need to do is to tune out the p0757 code, that gets thrown when ever you install a smaller converter that is lighter/slips more. The computer sees this as a problem and will do all kinds of fun stuff like lock you out of gears so you only have 2nd gear. This is the solenoind b stuck on code, common code when going with a stall higher then 3,200 just have it turned off.. Next the flashing ses lite is saying your having missfires, which is untrue and another fine problem when switching to a smaller/lighter converter. You need to tune the pcm for misfire codes, you may also experience the converter locking and unlocking by itself while cruising on the highway. It will do this cause of the misfire codes being thrown which are false codes due to the converter. You might experience a few other problems also... As for the rattle i had that too if i would bring the rpm to 750 i could hear it and then again at 2,000 rpm.. Turned out to be a loose bolt on the y-pipe hanger that attaches to the trans, check that bold.. Might be a good idea to go under the car and just bang on the y-pipe with your fist and see if you hear the noise. Thats what i did and i got closer to where the noise was coming from and i looked at the bold and sure enough the dumb asses that installed it never tightened the bolt.... If you have any other problems you can pm me.. I might not have all the answers for you as im still learing what other problems i have with the converter change like lock up issues... All of this crap is simply due to tuning.
Thanks for the info!! Yeah, I figured i'd have some tuning issues with an aftermarket converter, but the flashing SES was a first and I got paranoid about it after I checked the exahust for rattles and every thing looked ok. The car was HOT while I was under there and I didn't have it very high up, so I couldn't really get under there and check things out very well. I'll get back under there soon and pull the starter and the inspection cover off while i'm under there and check the bolts just to be safe
