v6 automatic?

i did a search and couldn't find the answer i was looking for. does anyone know of the a4 in the v6 fbodies is a 4l60e or is it a different tranny?

I'm pretty sure that they are a 4l60e.

They are a 4l60e but they use a smaller input shaft than the V8 version does.

im sure some of the internal parts are lighter duty bc they'll do anything to save $0.01 per each car and x that by 100,000...thats a lot of money, lol.

The v-6 4l60e has one less clutch pak also

Actually all 4L60's were built the same as far as internals and number of clutches since 1990. Older ones did have fewer clutch plates.
The non 90 degree V6 4L60E's use the same internals, the only difference is the input shaft and bellhousing bolt pattern. And some calibration parts like servos, springs, etc.
