Stall size for Daily Driver and to match a cam
Stall size for Daily Driver and to match a cam Hey. I have been looking into stalls a lot and am about ready to order from Fuddle. Car is mainly a Daily driver and is my everyday car in the summer. Will see the track but rarely. However my goal is to go 11's full weight with suspension mods and cam. I want to go a bigger sized cam like the MS3. Will a 3600 or 3800 2.5 str match up well with that or neither? Help me on stall size and str to match up. Thanks

That's a big cam for a daily driver. The bigger the cam, the bigger the stall needs to be. If you get a stall that is too small then you'll be stuck climbing rpm's where the cam does not make good power. I would go with a 4000 stall and 2.7 STR with that size cam. Your gas mileage is gonna go down the crapper with that setup though 
Honestly, I would call texas speed and ask them about alternative setups. The 233/239 and a 3600 stall for example might make a tad better daily driver. But give those guys a call and see what they suggest.

I do not care for a big stall in my daily driver so I would go with a 3200-3500 stall and a Thunder Racing TR224 cam (224/224 .563/.563 114+4) which is plenty to run 11s full weight. You will need some sticky tires to run in the 11s.
