Default tranny question

OK going to try and explain, OK say I'm in first gear and I'm running around 4,500 rpm I let off of the gas how come I dont have back pressure to let the pipes talk so to speak, when I do this the rpm's fall down to ideal. Is their anything I can do to fix this?

The sprag assembly (clutches, sprag, overrun hub) is the problem here, that is why no engine braking. The transmission must come out for this to be fixed.
