I just put the 4l60e back in my car i had a th350 in it and was running for awile with it in there with no tune for the th350 well i broke the th350 and had a transmission shop rebuild my 4l60e and i put it and a new 2800 stall in it, the problem i am having is that it feels like it is slipping going from 2 to3 and when your in over drive if you give it a little gas it wonts to down shift into 3. do i need to have the pcm retuned? Whats wrong?

 

well u said u never tuned the car for the th350 so i wouldnt think te ecm will erase the 4l60e data by it self that my opion

 

Did you have a chance to talk to the trans shop yet? Did they give you a warranty? How did you run your car w/o tuning the auto out of the pcm? I would guess you had a check eng light on all the time and drivability issues. Can you bring the car to them? Let us know some more details after you talk to the trans shop.

 

Yea the check engine light was on but no problems with the driving . what i think is happening is that it has codes in it from the th350 and when the 4l60e was put back in the pcm is still confusied about the tranny
