Won't go into park
Won't go into park A friend of mine has a A4 '95 Z28. Recently the car stopped going into park. Park is reverse. Reverse is still reverse. It'll kinda get between neutral and drive, then after that its normal. Any ideas as to what is wrong with it?
If you look under the shift indicator in the console there is a shift selinoid right under the ashtray. Make sure it's not being obstructed by anything or not working. I had mine go out on my 95 and it would not let you put it into park. Thats the first thing I would check.
