Vibrations when tranny is in 3rd.

Vibrations when tranny is in 3rd. If I'm cruising down the road at 40 to 80mph with the tranny in D, instead of OD, I get this vibration that shakes the whole car. It only does it when I am off the throttle or on it just enough to maintain speed. If I shift the car back into OD, the car is fine and the vibration goes away. Any ideas what is causing my problem?
EDIT: Tranny is bone stock with 77k orginal miles, only mods are lid andn no muffler.

I have this same issue right now. Remember that our 3rd gear is 1 to 1 and that is why you might feel this vibration in 3rd versus the other gears. I am going to get my driveshaft's u-joints inspected and if needed replaced and I'll have it balanced. I am also going to adjust my pinion angle to -3* to my launching purposes with the N2O.
