trans temp guage?
trans temp guage? best place to install the sending unit? Supply line, return line or the pan itself? I have pretty much ruled out the supply line so it is gonna be either the return line or the pan. The pan would give me a true temp reading. The return would tell me if my cooling is enough. What do you guys think? Where have you guys installed yours?

i have mine in the line going out to the cooler. i figure that is the absolute hottest the tranny fluid ever is (after it leaves the converter).What do you care how cool the tranny fluid gets? it how hot it gets that you need to know.
tranny test port above shift linkage. I didnt want to have to worry about a leaky pan. you dont need to know the temp of the fluid returning to the tranny, you need to know the temp of the internal fluid.
