Vig 3600 locks/unlocks while going 55-65??? wtf?
Vig 3600 locks/unlocks while going 55-65??? wtf? is this cause i have the ported MAF ends.. whisper ones??
its doign this all of a sudden and all i had done in the past 2 months was a MAF end swap, asp pulley, and girdle put on...
I have the 3600 vig and i think i saw where the ported ends affect this in some way?? but ill be going 55 or so and the converter just unlocks and i can rev the car up and etc, then after 2 mins or so it will lock and go back to OD or something.. plus i can pull over, turn car off and then go on my way again and its back to normal.. weird??? what gives??

Re: Vig 3600 locks/unlocks while going 55-65??? wtf? I'd definitely put the stock MAF ends back on to see if that cures your problem. If not, then it will take a manual lockup switch or custom tuning to keep the converter locked on the highway. The higher stall torque converters are known to do this. I had the same problem on my '98 T/A until I had MTI program the PCM. They have a lockup program that will keep the converter from unlocking on the highway. Any of the tuners can do it; Ed Wright did it on my SS.

but im gonna slap some stock ends back on.. hopefully it will fix this.. or ill have to send the pcm in.. arghh
