4l80e-full manual? Hello. Transgo makes a shift kit for 4l80e's to go full manual. It allows the loss of all electronics. Is it possible to still have the converter lock up? Hughes makes up to a 3500 stall converter with a lock up. The full manual 4l80e transmission avaliable on e-bay say they are non-lock up. Can anyone shed a little light on these trannies for me?

yes, you can have manual vb in an 80, and still have lockup. That is the way mine works. I would have to double check with my tranny builder, but i think it is a trans-go VB.
I just installed a switch that i use when i am on the highway and want to lock the comverter. It allows you to use lockup in any gear other than first.
