FLP vs FLT - And Level 4 vs Level 5
FLP vs FLT - And Level 4 vs Level 5 Shopping for a transmission. I need to know the actual differences in the transmissions between FLP and FLT. Also the level 5 appears to be just the 5 pinion planets? I didn't think that was a weak point...does it really make it that much stronger?
Also core charge...say a unit is $2000. A $650 core charge makes the price $2650?

I believe Chuck broke away from FLP and started FLT, so same company, product. Great guy, and knows his stuff.
Level 4 vs 5, give him a call and let him know what you have, and want to do, he can help with what you may/may not need.
FWIW: I have ~200 runs on my level 4, and has worked VERY well. I will be sending it back in for freshen up this winter.

During this month FLT is taking 15% off its transmissions, which amounts to quite a bit.
And as far as I can tell they don't have a core charge listed like FLP? Though the prices listed are with exchange.
And hey it looks like you run the same combo that i've had planned for a while now - Level 4 w/Yank SS3800. How do you like it? I will DD this setup and hope it isn't too much.

FLP vs FLT? well..it's the same builder, Chuck Johnson. He started his own company (FLT) but I guess he still builds for FLP.
