what do you mean flywheel bolt? Are you talking about the torque converter bolts or the bolts that bolt flexplate to the crank?

You need to hold the flywheel. There should be an access plate in the tranny that will let you put a larger screwdriver or something in the flywheel/flexplate teeth to hold it while you break the bolt loose.

You dont need to unbolt the flywheel to remove the trans. You do need to remove the starter, and remove the 3 TC bolts. With the starter removed, you rotate the flywheel until you can use a couple long extensions on a ratchet, then while you hold the flywheel as mentioned above, or by the crank pulley bolt, you remove the TC Bolts, rotate, remove and repeat one more time. This unbolts the TC from the flywheel and thus allows you to remove the trans.
