Joel_SS, that's the best sigline ever!
My best friend bought a 2002 SS 345 HP Camaro with the centerfire exhaust, out of a salvage yard two years ago with 22k on the clock, and now that we're finally getting around to putting it back together, he's asking me how hard it would be to swap a T56 into it. I keep telling him to just let me build the 4L60E up for him, but he's adamant about a stick, even though he admits it'll just make him slower.
Oh yeah, the thing also rolled off the line in August 2002, the exact month Camaro production stopped. I keep telling him he's out of his mind.

A properly setup "window" switch is the best way to use nitrous, with the least amount problems. Once the clutches and or band is applied, adding nitrous is not going to break something in the vast majority of cases. That is why a relatively stock unit with a 9.5" torque converter can hold up for quite awhile using nitrous. If the "window" is not setup correctly, you can wear out the transmission very quickly.
Mine stocker is still doing fine with a 225 shot. I don't spray through the shifts though. The car has been sprayed for more than 4 years now
