LS1 to TH700R4 (flexplate and spacer question)
Is the flexplate for a TH700R4 the same as a TH350?
I know that guys putting TH350's behind LS1's need a spacer plus a TH350 flexplate with elongated holes to mate up to the LS1 crank.
I found a TH700R4 that has an Advanced Adapter kit on it to mate up to my '84 FJ60 LandCruiser transfer case rebuilt for a smoking price (over $2200 in parts). It has a TV cable to control line pressure and if I weld on a small tab/stub onto my throttlebody arm for it to attach to it should work perfectly. Lockup is controlled hydraulically and the seller used this behind an LT1 (did the same mod to make the TV cable work).
Is the flexplate/spacer solution the same for a TH700R4 and TH350?
I need an LS1 to replace my 130hp/200ft/lbs tq Toyota 4.2i straight 6 (tractor motor basically) that gets 12mpg on the highway going 65mph.
Thanks,
Mark

700r4 is going to be the same bolt pattern as the older 4l60 and 4l60e in the lt1 f-bodys. from what i understand thye all bolt up to the ls1 except for the top bolt. i have no idea on the spacing though, but i know tci has a flexplate that is univsersal (mates to both gen III and gen I/II motor and tranny)
