anyone can point me in the direction to buy one and a pillar, thanks.

and any additional stuff I need and instructions.

is there any difference in a mechanical or an electric gauge?

get electric the mech.. has fluid runing to the gauge the ele.. has a sending unit on the tranny and just wires running to the gauge...im planing on getin one and hiding it in the ac vent..just my.02

Easiest place is the service port right above the shift linkage. There's a plug in there now, just replace the plug with the sending unit that came with the gauge.
