A to Z TH400 Install ?
I have a quasi-dead 4L60 in my '93 LT1 TransAm. With a supercharger going on and an eminent rebuild, I'm looking to make the big jump and save a few bucks in the long run. In a few months I plan to get a GV overdrive unit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Any instructions as to what I would need?
Yank makes direct bolt-in replacements. I have been happy with mine. Depending on how savvy you are with fabrication, you could do it yourself for less money. If your time is important, talk to Mike at Yank.
Since your car is a 1993, it should have the 4l60 (not computer controlled 4l60e). This will be easier because you won't have to deal with computer issues.
I just welded a piece of steel plate onto the my crossmember to make it work. The easiest dipstick solution is the flexible Lokar dipstick. I think Madman Racing also sells a TH400 dipstick assembly as well.
