If the converter clutch was sticking, then it would die when you come to a stop. The solenoid goes bad on some FWD trans. It happens. Haven't heard of it being a problem with F bodies.

OEM TC's usually go forever unless you break the trans and that causes problems for the TC which in turn breaks.

its in my 93 z28.and when i come to a stop just like u said it starts to idle way down then dies on me. and when i take off from a stop it will hesitate for a second then it will kick in like its geared or something so i was thinking that it was the torque convertor clutch. do u think that would be just the convertor that needs to be replaced or do u think that i might have a tranny problem to?

Why do you think it is the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch)? A failing TCC will not cause those symptoms, nor will a failing converter. If your converter was failing it would rev up more than usual coming out of stops. Sounds like an engine problem to me, but you did not specify the specifics as to how this is occuring or how long has it been acting that way. More info so we can help diagnose this problem.

when im at a stop and going to leave from a stop it will rev up and hesitate for a second then it will take off and jerk when i give it barely any gas. and when im driving and then slow down to come to a stop the rpm's will go way down then start to idle funky then die.

you might check out the front pump of the transmission if it is warped it will have low pressure at low RPM and leak into the Torque converter clutch apply port at higher RPM and cause the clutch to come on and not release, killing the engine when coming a stop
