Default Converter and Shift Kit Conversion

I'm going with a fuddle 3400 with a 2.2str. Currently, my car has the torque management removed and the and has added shift firmness. My question is, should i go with a shift kit even though i have the shift firmness tuned in? Will it be dangerous to the tranny to have both? And if i do get the shift kit(it will be transgo), should i go with a lower setting or can i go with more washers for firmness? Thanks in advanced.

You do NOT want to do both the shift kit and increase shift firmness through tuning. That's a surefire way that many people toast our 4L60Es. Do one or the other. The debate goes on and on as to which is better. Some say that the shift kit is better because it physically strengthens the tranny and increases shift pressure. Others disagree. So who knows. But don't do both!
