Default shift selonoid

was on my way home today and was going up a slight incline the car shifted down into 2nd ses light came on and the car was stuck in 2nd. Got home shut the car off waited a while drove it to auto zone for a scan shifted fine on the way there. IT scanned as a stuck selonoid open. The car has been shifting fine the rest of the afternoon. Is it a selonoid going bad or do they stick ocasionally? Im leaning towards a bad selonoid. If so are the hard to replace?? car has 73,000 on the clock.

Was it the 3-2 solenoid stuck open or one of the shift solenoids? Your going to need to know this so you put the right piece in.

You know what they say when you assume.
You need to know what exactly the code is or was. Unless your just going to replace all the solenoids.

I was having this same problem...not even a month later my 3-4 went out.

The code mine read was "shift solenoid circuit b stuck on"
