Default ST3500 Shudder

I am having problems with my Yank ST3500 converter shuddering around 45 mph and its driving me crazy. I will be getting my computer reprogramed. I can't find any one local with LS1 Edit so I think that it is out of the question- I don't want to do it myself. I was deciding between Superchips and Fastchips. What are the pros and cons of the two. Right now I am leaning toward superchips. What should I tell them that I need done to stop my converter problem. My mods are in the sig. I also plan on a GWP supercharger in the future and I think they use superchips for their programming too. I want to get rid of Torque management, I don't have any rear O2 sensors, no emissions control stuff off of the headers (Dynotech Race headers). They said something about increasing line preasure, should I if so how much, what setting. What should I set my rev limit at. I76784268
Thanks for all reply.

I don`t think programming will solve your problem.
Most likely the shudering is due a warped surface where the lock up clutch makes contact with the rear of the converter housing.

If it's happening under lock up, the TC clutches are probably glazed and if you have ported MAF ends, there probably the culprit. Yank has an additive you can add to the tranny that's supposed to de-glaze the clutches. This is actually pretty common with the ST3500, and programming won't fix this.

Does it happen under very light throttle input around lock up speed? If so its because of low line pressure which sometimes has a hard time locking up your tougher lockup clutches. It happens with my TP4500 sometimes but once I give more throttle input it lock up fine. It usually happens when I'm letting off the gas going down hill at lockup

As mentioned, it could be low line pressure at lock-up, which can be fixed by programming, or it could be a glazed clutch, or could be both (i.e. low line pressure over time caused the clutch to glaze).

How long have you had the converter and when did this start?

It isn't low line pressure. I had the same issues and had Ed Wright up my line pressure. It didn't fix it. I tried everything. The only way I was able to fix it was to buy a Vig 3200. I had the line pressure set back to normal and haven't had an issue since. It has been 7 months now.
