Need 4l60e Asap I am looking for a 4L60E for a ls1 all i need is the core. but it needs to have a good case... so anyone have any lying around let me know ASAP please...... Chiet_SS@msn.com
Go buy you a core from your local wrecking yard. It should cost you no more than $50 for a core transmission. They don't sell them for more than that to builders. Most builders only give about $25 for a core.
BTW, I am not talking about a take-out from one of their vehicles. The core would be a customer return/trade-in/exchange.

Thats what I pay for cores, but remember you're going straight to the source...the junkyard. The yard I go to has a rebuilder pick up every month, if I don't buy that core for $20-$40 I can go to this rebuilder and get the tail off the same trans for $90+.
LS1 cores aren't showing up yet, 4L80E's aren't much either but I've picked up the two I've seen. It's mostly the older 4L60E's in the pile lately.
