Default shorter shifters?

i'm looking for a shorter height shifter for my engine swap(see sig)

most aftermarket shifters are 10-12" tall, does anyone know of any shorter ones??
the shortest one i've found so far is the hurst quarter stick at 10"

i made a custom shifter to make my ratchet appear to be a 6spd. i had to make mine shorter to accomplish this.

is your shifter handle flat?
i cut my stick down to about 2" and drilled 2 holes into the shifter handle.
then i welded a bracket to my new stick and then drilled holes in it.
bolted the 2 together and boom, shorter shifter handle.

i currently don't have a shifter. the RX7 had a 5 speed (gone when i bought it), and the donor camaro's shifter was smashed in the accident... thus i get to go to an aftermarket shifter for my 4l60e. no pics yet.

shifter type really wouldnt matter, as you are prolly gonna modify it anyway.
hope my advice was helpful.
good luck.
