4l80e hey everyone, I was wondering when going from a 4l60e to a 4l80e do I need to go with a stock 4l80e or does it have to be built? Also I know its been asked probably a hundred times but what needs to be changed in order for a 4l80e to be swapped for a 4l60e? Thanks for the help in advance.
Go to the tread "4l80e swap info" By the cablebandit. It's pretty good and tells most of what you need to know. As far as you question about stock or built. I would at least put some kind of shift kit into it depending on your mods. If your looking for a built one I would call Finish Line Transmissions.
