Default Converter flash? Don’t say oh no.

Picture this if you will..
You are at the track looking at the tree, you ease up, the lights come on pre-stage, stage, you are sweating like a pig and you are feeling weak because you have not eaten for two days because you are a weight reduction freak, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> you stall up the converter to 1500RPM (vig3200) yellow, yellow, yellow, (stab the gas and the converter flashes up to some RPM), green <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> (.502 light!!!) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Now the question; how long does the RPM flash last? Can AutpTap record it?

Oh I almost forgot the rest of the story. You just ran an 11.206 @ 119.63 on a 1.449 60’. <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> The DA was -2197. Congratulations!!!! You are now the Stock Internal Bolt-on NA no power adder champion!!!!!!
<img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Thanks
John

The flash is pretty instantaneous and once the car starts moving the flash rpms will continue to climb. The chances of ATAP correctly logging it are slim IMO. The best shot of measuring it is to log only rpm or only rpm & mph.

For Yank's in-car testing, 3rd gear start is used and there is still some error that creeps in to that. Using first gear start reduces the accuracy as the output shaft will start rotating a little sooner.
