what the difference between loose and tight tc?
A loose converter will have a higher stall speed. In other words, it will take more rpm's to get the car moving. Basically it is a less efficient converter. The benefit is that you get into your power band quicker, so it will reduce your 1/4 mile times. A tighter converter is the opposite, and it's main adavantage is fuel economy, but with the 4l60e trans you still have lockup, so the fuel mileage will still be the same cruising at highway speeds with a looser converter. You will also have less heat with a tight converter, which kills transmissions. This is a very simple explanation. Hope it helps.
