Default Do I really need a transbrake

I have been debating on getting a tranny with a transbrake or just foot braking it. I race on the street alot and only a little at the track. I dont ever bracket race of any kind. Plus isnt a transbrake harder on drivetrain parts? I already am worried about putting the car on the bumper so I dont think I need the shock of a transbrake on my launch. Any input would be helpful

If you have a drivetrain strong enough to survive putting the car on the bumper I don't think tranny braking will hurt it

Unless your trying to squeeze every last .001 out of your car you don't need a transbrake.

A trans-brake will only do one thing, give you consistency in bracket racing. It does not help out 60 foot times in the majority of cases. I do not recommend a trans-brake on the 4L60E, as this is very hard on the gear train. If you have any questions on this let me know?
