$30. cooler is cheap insurance to make the tranny last longer.

I'm putting a 20 x 7 x 3/4 flexalite in with my TH400... if that gives you any indication as to wether it's a good idea.

I went with a really small tranny cooler the first time and my tranny went about 5k miles after the 3500 stall converter install. I would definatly get the biggest one you can find. Mine came with my Gearstar transmission, its really big but I dont know what brand.

I wouldn't recommend it but I haven't had one with my relatively small converter (vig 2800). I keep an eye on the fluid and don't beat on it for too long. I only have 40K miles on the car.

Any one doa before and after temperature reading? Just curious how much the cooler really did change temps.
