Default Th400 install almost done, quick question

If I as to put the th400 in say first gear and pull the parking brake, would that lock the crank in position? Im trying to figure out the easiest way to install this crank pulley without jamming the flexplate

I always just jam the flexplate with a prybar or long screwdriver. Even doing that the car lifts up when going to 240ft/lb.
